About the Black Country Mission
The Black Country Mission is a voluntary Christian organisation which works in houses, schools and nursing homes in the Black Country. We give out free Bibles or parts of a Bible to those who need them and help to set up Bible banks in churches throughout the area.
Bible banks were the initiative of the Black Country Mission and there are at present over nineteen churches with Bible banks in the Black Country area and these are spreading to other parts of the country.
The overall objective of the Black Country Mission is to ensure that every household in the Black Country has a copy of the Bible or part of the Bible by 2024.
In order to achieve this the Black Country Mission has a five fold ministry in schools, nursing homes, setting up Bible banks, outreach and door-to-door work.
